About this course
Most problems at work start as communication problems. An email that three people read three different ways. A meeting that ends with nobody sure who is doing what. A junior officer who saw the mistake coming but did not feel able to say so to the Director. A manager whose feedback is so gentle the staff member never realises there is a problem, or so harsh that they stop listening.
This course is for everyone who works with other people: company staff, public servants in MDAs and MMDAs, team leaders, new graduates and senior managers. It is written by trainers who have sat through the long meetings, read the confusing memos and watched good people talk past each other in Ghanaian offices.
You will learn why messages fail and how to listen and question well. You will work on your tone, your body language, and how to show respect across age, rank and culture without hiding the truth. You will rewrite a confusing email line by line, and learn to structure memos, reports and minutes so busy readers act on them. You will practise preparing for meetings, giving a short presentation, giving and receiving feedback, saying no assertively, and holding a difficult conversation calmly. A final section covers WhatsApp groups, video calls and hybrid teams.
Every module uses Ghanaian examples, sample wording you can copy, and short activities. You finish with a personal communication plan to download and use, and a certificate when you pass the final assessment.
